Gunbarrel Green is a neighborhood of 306 homes along Idylwild Trail, from Lookout Road to Carter Trail. Also included in the Gunbarrel Green HOA are 19 properties on Tanglewood Trail, three on Old Post Road, and nine on Briar Ridge Trail. Click here for a list of addresses, blocks, and lots. Gunbarrel Green was recorded in the Boulder County Clerk’s office on July 8, 1963, in Plat Book 9, on pages 46, 47, and 48.

Get to know the HOA

The Gunbarrel Green HOA comprises volunteer board members and committee participants, all of whom are your neighbors in this beautiful neighborhood. The current board includes:

  • Jamie Stroud, President

  • Jeff Donaldson, Vice President

  • Dale Carson, Treasurer

  • David Mendelbaum, Secretary

The goal of the HOA is to provide services and support to the neighborhood’s residents to foster community and maintain the level of aesthetics and value that has existed for more than 50 years.

  • The HOA has a pre-CCIOA designation, originated in 1985.

  • The HOA does not own any interest in neighborhood property.

  • HOA dues are $100 per calendar year.

  • The corporation bylaws allow a lien to be placed on any property for non-payment of dues. This gets reported to the title company upon selling a property.

  • The Association has no penalties, special assessments, reserves, status letter fees, or transfer fee charges.

  • Utilities and trash pick-up services are not provided through the HOA.

  • The HOA does not provide any insurance for individual homeowners.

HOA Services

The homeowners association provides the following services to the residents of the community:

  • Maintenance of the front entranceway and the Lookout Road frontage area.

  • Keep neighbors informed on local issues via email and print communications.

  • Interfacing with the City and County of Boulder regarding issues that affect residents, such as traffic on Lookout, speeding in our neighborhood, road maintenance, flooding, mosquito mitigation, and more.

  • Management of and compliance with the neighborhood governing documents.

  • Management of the HOA website.

  • Installation and maintenance of traffic monitors.

  • Review and approval of construction and remodeling projects.

  • Involvement in any projects that involve the maintenance of the quality and values of the neighborhood.

  • Organizing community activities and committees to enhance neighbor relationships.
